Cessation of usurpation is not a route, it is an axiom

It has always made a lot of noise to me that in times when the regime has called on the country to follow the electoral route, a whole debate is opened about whether or not we are going to a new electoral process with the regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros in power. For me, this discussion has already been settled, however, there are still many Venezuelans who are still wondering why not. Why not, if there is such a "front of struggle", not to give the battle there too, considering that the "route" of the "Cessation of Usurpation - Transitional Government - Free Elections", according to the poor results presented so far by the President in Charge Juan Guaidó, has already "failed", according to this argument?

The most significant thing is that there are very qualified voices defending this position, as is the case of my esteemed Professor of FACES-UCV, Maxim Ross, who in his recent article reopens this debate. (see in Spanish ¿Ir a elecciones?, en https://www.digaloahidigital.com/articulo/%C2%Bfir-elecciones), showing that even at those levels this discussion has not culminated, when it is precisely there, at the best levels of our intelligentsia, where it should have concluded many years ago. I do not intend to indicate here, and that is why I am writing these lines, that there is any partisan political interest in Professor Ross' note, because if not, I would not even worry about that opinion because I would be one more of the bunch in following the regime's way of continuing to subjugate the majorities through a very attractive opium that has had the population trapped in the dilemma of the donkey and the carrot.

When I started to write technically about the electoral issue, the river flow was opposite. That is, I was one of the few fish that swam against the electoral current set by the regime and its opposition, indicating that there was a cage trap in the Venezuelan electoral system, sounding an alarm for the opposition to review it because we were being led to a slaughterhouse. Only a few voices like mine were talking about the same thing. We had never met, let alone known each other, until we met at an event at the Universidad Metropolitana and together (members of ESDATA and Voto Limpio, and other personalities who fought for a clean electoral system) made a proposal to the MUD technicians. (see in Spanish ESDATA-Voto Limpio – Urgente e impostergable – La Unidad en lo técnico, in http://bitakoraeva.blogspot.com/2012/07/urgente-e-impostergable-la-unidad-en-lo.html) which was olympically dismissed by Grupo La Colina, who at that time led the technical representation of the MUD before the CNE of the regime (see in Spanish Respuesta del Grupo La Colina, in http://bitakoraeva.blogspot.com/2012/07/respuesta-del-grupo-la-colina.html). It should be noted that among those technically leading this group was the name of Mr. Roberto Picón, current candidate for Rector of the CNE of the illegitimate National Assembly of the regime, on behalf of the official opposition.

Years later the course of the river changed, the 2012 presidential elections and all subsequent elections, including Maduro's, were proven to be fraudulent by the public, notorious and communicative confession to Venezuelans of the SmartMatic company that the regime had made technical fraud "by more than one million votes" in an election. And thus, Venezuelans were finally convinced that it was not going to be through the votes that we would get rid of this regime, and that such fraud was not possible if the opposition was not in it up to its marrow, and that it had told us, as the La Colina Group did in its opportunity that this "was the best electoral system in the world" as Tiby Lucena and her electoral delinquents tirelessly shouted.

The electoral system then proved to be the way to distribute in a perverse symbiosis, the posts between the regime and its opposition, always with the regime with bayonets behind it deciding who would or would not be in the most important posts. Capriles did not know how to defend the votes of Venezuelans and wasted a unique opportunity to prove that Maduro had committed fraud in 2013 and to get out of the regime once and for all. But that was suspiciously stopped by the opposition inviting us to play pots and pans and dance salsa. I invite you again to my personal time machine taking you back to that time (see in Spanish Las 12 Mil cajas der Tiby, in https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/2013/04/las-12-mil-cajas-de-tiby.html).

The best argument that has been wielded by the official opposition against this was the results of the 2015 parliamentary elections. And that I answered the other day of those elections. (see in Spanish ¿Ganó la MUD o perdió el gobierno?, in https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/2015/12/gano-la-mud-o-perdio-el-gobierno.html) where the military decided against the regime, preventing the consummation of a completely rigged fraud. And yet, the CNE managed to hide a much higher vote than the one officially given and the regime managed to make this newly elected Assembly useless for 5 years, ignoring what the people decided with the votes.

Having demonstrated then that the electoral route is not the way, why do they still insist on this route when the regime is in control of the super structure to count the votes and to accept or not the results? The obvious thing then is that the regime cannot be in government functions for us to be able to say that we are calling for elections in freedom and with adequate international electoral supervision. How we achieve that is a completely different thing from the initial proposition. Consequently, what everybody calls the Cessation of Usurpation route, is by no means a route, it is an Axiom. In mathematics we say that an Axiom is a "Proposition or statement so evident that it is considered that it does not require demonstration. "The whole is greater than the part" is an axiom". Or another definition: "An axiom, postulate or assumption is a statement that is taken to be true, to serve as a premise or starting point for further reasoning and arguments. " (see Axiom, in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axiom).

Consequently, we cannot get rid of the obvious fact that free elections, as their very name indicates, must be held in freedom. And those who call for them in the midst of a tyranny may or may not be deliberately playing into the hands of the regime, or may be part of it.

When we requested a Popular Consultation years ago to make this axiom legitimate, this was not fully understood. Now that axiom is a constitutional mandate derived from one of the mechanisms provided for in the Constitution as a way to exercise our Sovereignty in a direct manner, and that is what we Venezuelans did from December 7 to 12, 2020, when 97% of the participants demanded the end of Maduro's usurpation before going to free, fair and verifiable elections. There the term free fits the reality because they would be held in freedom after the departure of the usurpers from power. The question then, my dear Professor Ross, is not whether or not to go to elections. It should be how to make those elections in freedom. Or how do we make Maduro and his criminals leave power so that elections can be held in freedom. And in that the International Community has a lot to say.

And it is not that we leave the entire burden to the rest of the world to achieve that freedom that is required to go to elections. No. It is to show them in the first place that Venezuelans ARE NOT WILLING to follow an electoral charade without the abandonment of power by Maduro and his criminals, on pain of repeating the 2004 era when Cesar Gaviria, the Carter Center and other OAS observers were present in the country and let the fraud of Hugo Chavez pass, the Carter Center and other OAS observers being present in the country let the fraud of Hugo Chavez and Jorge Rodriguez with their SmartMatic lottery machines, with the approval of the opposition, and the certainty that with the regime in power the results will be against us, the Venezuelans, who at the end of the day are the direct sufferers of this tragic situation. That if they really want to help us, the issue should focus on cornering these criminals between all of us, them and us, until they go bankrupt. But we are all convinced that there is no quarter that is worth until we see them out.

Hence, those of us who are willing to defend the result of what we DO COUNT in a Popular Consultation, are uniting in a Constitutional Restoration Pact (see in Spanish Conoce el Pacto para el Restablecimiento Constitucional, in https://ancoficial.blogspot.com/2021/03/conoce-el-pacto-para-el.html) to take the actions that have not been taken by those who in bad time allowed this situation to reach what it has reached in terms of hunger, misery and misfortune for Venezuela, to enforce the mandate of the Venezuelan people in that Popular Consultation. And what will those actions be? It is not in my power to say, but what I can say is that they will be taken by the same mourners who said NO to a new electoral fraud with the regime. And believe me, we are the majority....
