On May 10, 2023, the United States Department of the Treasury, through its entity OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) was requested to deliver the corresponding operating funds to the Venezuelan Legitimate Supreme Court for the Justices to fulfill their functions from exile. These funds have been allocated by the National Assembly of Venezuela 2015 through its annual budget called “Liberation Funds”. These disbursements come from the account frozen by the Treasury Department belonging to the Central Bank of Venezuela currently placed in a US bank account.
