Ruling on the reinstatement of the President-in-Charge of the TSJ in exile - 04-11-2023

On April 11, 2023, the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice issued a judgment in which it demanded the deputies of the National Assembly, of the opposition majority elected in 2015, to respect the fundamental principle of the separation of powers and to reinstate the President in office, within a peremptory period of time that expired this past May 11, 2023, the figure of the President in Charge of the Republic, because the Board of Directors of the National Assembly is not an Executive Power and therefore, it cannot decide on what to spend and at the same time, control the public expenditure and the destination of the assets frozen to the Venezuelan State.

The Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice operates in exile because its Justices were persecuted by the usurper regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros, from the very moment they were appointed by the opposition majority National Assembly, elected in December 2015.

The appellants before the TSJ were different groups of Venezuelans or individuals, all of them of recognized trajectory in the defense of democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law in Venezuela.
