Guaidó and the frogs asking for King

The march led by the President-in-Charge, Juan Guaidó, last Thursday, October 27, to the CNE, demanding a date for the elections from the regime, is of an inverted logic, so stupidly incredible, that it could only be compared to a group of lambs marching to the farmer's house to ask for a date for their slaughter at the slaughterhouse, because they cannot bear to continue living with uncertainty (see in Spanish Guaidó marches to the CNE to demand a date for presidential elections, in https://primicia.com.ve/nacion/guaido-marcha-hacia-cne-para-exigir-fecha-de-elecciones-presidenciales/).

I would like to assume that those Venezuelans, who surely marched all these years for the "end of the usurpation", must understand that this march means the opposite of what they have previously manifested. That there is a contradiction between what the person who led the march does and says now and what he did and said before. And that in the middle of all this there must be an explanation that must be given to them and that they have not been given.

Because, how could one march to ask someone who USURPATES the Presidency of the Republic, a date for elections that are NOT LEGITIMATE in any way because that body to which they are marching is controlled by Rectors ILLEGITIMATELY APPOINTED BY AN ILLEGITIMATE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, which is part of the machinery of usurpation that Guaidó himself denounced in front of them since 2019?

Are Venezuelans so deceived by their opposition political leadership that these contradictory acts still have blind and misinformed followers? That truly terrifies me because if this distorted, deviant and corrupt opposition could summon people for this contradictory stupidity on Thursday 27th, it could just as well do it for an election with the regime.

More than 10 years ago I dedicated to the memory of my missing daughter an article entitled "Aesop's Fables". From time to time I return to that note to remember and keep in mind that in those fables human stupidity is clearly drawn, while always bearing in mind that we can fall into stupidity without realizing it.

From the fable of "The Frogs asking for King" in that year 2012, I concluded that in 1998, we Venezuelans complained that the beam that Jupiter had sent to put order in this puddle (the system of liberties that had been working since 1958) was not ruling and then the god punished us by sending us a stork (Hugo Chávez) that ate, one after the other, all the frogs: "The anguished frogs complained bitterly to Jupiter, begging him to free them from that tyrant; but the god answered them: -Suffer the consequences of your importunate supplication, and since you asked for a king with such eagerness, he will always reign over you" (see in Spanish Aesop's Fables, in https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/2012/03/fabulas-de-esopo.html).

I was not so wrong back then with the curse of the fabled Jupiter, because that ruler will "reign forever" over us if we persist in stupidity. But now, 10 years later, applying that fable to this more up-to-date context, my conclusion is different. Jupiter sent us Juan Guaidó for the existing mess in 2019, and now we all complain -and with good reason- that he was a beam that did absolutely nothing for our misfortune, although the surprising thing is now that the same beam sent by Jupiter is leading a march of frogs to ask for a new stork. Einstein's infinite stupidity...

That is the unfortunate situation of the current Venezuelan opposition leadership. And do not think that those who are proposing themselves in primaries to govern the country -besides Guaidó- are very far from that same stupidity. All the pre-candidates are deliberately deceiving themselves and the Venezuelan people, by accepting that they will "measure themselves" against Maduro in a clean, fair and verifiable electoral process, when it is precisely the regime that controls the automated electoral roulette.

Some tell us that this is a step that "brings us closer" to the exit of the regime in a "democratic" manner, without going over the fact that the date of the regime is not under their control. That they are headlong into the game of those who control all the variables, including themselves. That the mere fact of "demanding" dates to the regime sends a clear message to Venezuelans and the world that this process is legitimate WHEN IT IS NOT. What are we talking about here? That the institution of the Presidency in Charge, created under the proven assumption of Maduro's ILLEGITIMACY, is going on its knees to beg for the criminals to measure themselves by setting the regime's conditions. What kind of opposition is that?

Faced with such a pitiful and desolate panorama, Jupiter should send another stork, this time more aggressive, to eat all that surrendered opposition, starting with Guaidó. But the god, in his infinite wisdom and understanding, is giving the desperate frogs another way out. The possibility that those elections be conducted by another CNE, appointed by the legitimate Supreme Court of Justice in exile, as we have requested in the Amparo Request we have filed seeking the NULLITY of the Memorandum of Understanding between the usurper regime of Maduro and the "Unitary Platform" (see in Spanish Request for Amparo at https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/2022/10/solicitan-nulidad-del-memorandum-de.html).

Why is the political opposition still seeking "primaries"? Some will answer that question with "it is necessary to be united to face the regime!". And I would answer them, that with a truly legitimate CNE there is NO NEED for any primaries. If the regime did not exist, nor was it in power, the parties and anyone who runs freely, could compete in any electoral process under equal conditions. This is also what would happen if a legitimate CNE is appointed by a legitimate TSJ and calls for elections. And that is what the opposition should be looking for and defending, not an illegitimate election with the regime.

Some of you will tell me that I am daydreaming. That the "electoral" process of the regime is inevitable. It will be inevitable IF WE VENEZOLANS ALLOW IT. If we do not go, neither to those opposition primaries that are part of the regime's game, nor to those illegitimate elections, the regime will continue in power, but WITHOUT THE LEGITIMACY that only the people can give.

But if we go to those primaries and then to those elections, we screw them, giving them the legitimacy they seek so much before the world, with the dire consequences that this will have. Guaidó and the rest of those calling for elections with Maduro, will continue cohabiting and enjoying the crumbs they have always sought from that power. Hopefully we can see the infinite possibilities that would open that door that the Jupiter of this fable is presenting to us. But if it does not open, at least the regime will continue to be illegitimate, only if we act consciously of what is happening, and stop following those who insist on continuing to deceive Venezuelans like frogs in a puddle of fable...
