It is impressive what the official opposition does to continue to profit from a non-existent representation of the Venezuelan people. In a disgusting and silent display “met in Washington with Geraldo Blyde and at least five other representatives of the Venezuelan opposition,” with senior Biden administration officials, “U.S. Department of State official Brian Nichols, White House senior policy advisor Juan Gonzalez and Ambassador for Venezuelan Affairs James Story”, to discuss “the need to keep pushing for talks in Mexico and the possibility of using Venezuelan government money frozen in international bank accounts, particularly in Europe, for humanitarian aid, the people said” (see Reuters report, Washington plays hardball with Chevron’s Venezuela license over Mexico talks, in https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/washington-plays-hardball-with-chevrons-venezuela-license-over-mexico-talks-2022-10-18/).
Translating all this from the diplomatic language of the surrendered opposition, what it means in strict Venezuelan language is "allow us to continue living off the Venezuelan money", which do not belong to them but to the needs of the population that has been plundered by the regime in more than 20 years of continuous plundering. Unfortunately, for them, this new attempt to get their hands on the Venezuelan people's funds, which are still frozen in the US, was not successful.
However, and although this was one of the main objectives of the opposition trip, the background was none other than seeking to relax the sanctions on oil exploitation in Venezuela, where the main player is the oil company Chevron. The US response did not change because Blyde and the rest of the Unitary Platform spent a few dollars to convene with Nichols personally in the US: “any relevant easing of sanctions will only come if Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro returns to talks and takes concrete steps toward free elections…”. They could have told him that over the phone for free, via WhatsApp....
But Maduro has defecated on those conversations because he already got from that dragged opposition what he was looking for, by signing the Mexico Memorandum, which was nothing else than to be recognized as President. Now he is going for the following, using them as a cleaning rag: to get rid of the sanctions without the need to go to Mexico City, which is why that "delegation" is not in any way "opposition" but rather undercover agents of the regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros. We cannot fool ourselves with that, and the U.S. government knows it. But Maduro is succeeding when that complicit opposition is already handing over the head of Juan Guaido and the dissolution of the caretaker government in advance.
Already, international media such as CNN headlines "Recognition of Juan Guaidó as interim president of Venezuela will end in 2023, according to two sources close to the opposition." (see in Spañish CNN en Español, in https://cnnespanol.cnn.com/2022/10/21/reconocimiento-juan-guaido-presidente-interino-venezuela-terminara-2023-fuentes-cercanas-oposicion-orix/). Political factors cannot even hide it. The regime's international partners, such as Lula da Silva in Brazil, go ahead and declare that Guaidó "is nothing in Venezuela." (see EFE in Spanish https://efe.com/portada-america/lula-afirma-que-juan-guaido-ya-no-es-nada-en-venezuela/).
Where does all this come from? From a concerted strategy between the opposition and the regime for a full recognition of the government of Nicolás Maduro Moros before the International Community. The tour began in Washington where that same "opposition delegation" that spoke with Brian Nichols is today in Madrid, with members of the Carter Center, and factors of the civil society folded to the parties surrendered to the regime, to convene with the Spanish political parties, especially with the Socialists, with a view to convince the European Union of this brilliant "solution", coming out of the most sordid minds of those who controlled the majority of the extinct National Assembly of 2015.
What was the topic to be discussed in Madrid? The answer is given to us by journalist David Placer in a video from his Instagram account: "electoral route. Underlying theme, as I am informed, withdrawal of recognition of interim government to Guaidó, recognition of Maduro after elections and lifting of sanctions" (see @davidplacer, in https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cjslg8eoHoI/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D).
The problem is not that they take Juan Guaidó's head off to give it as an offering to Maduro, but that due to political compromises and interests, the parties do not recognize the INSTITUTIONALITY constitutionally built in January 2019 when the Caretaker Government was inaugurated. It is one thing for them to disqualify Guaidó and destroy him politically and a completely different thing for them to decide to dispatch the Presidency-in-Charge as if it did not exist. One thing is the variable, the Presidency in Charge, and another its content, Juan Guaidó (see Main variable, in https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/2020/12/variable-principal.html).
The parties cannot dispatch in a jiffy, the fact that the countries did not recognize Juan Guaidó, but they recognized the Constitutional figure of THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF VENEZUELA. And that is what they are trying to make disappear with the intention of going to irritating elections with Maduro.
The parties will have to fill out the legal extremes to be able to undo everything that has been legally built to justify the existence of an Acting President, and it will not be enough to say that because they disbanded Juan Guaidó and handed over his head to Maduro, they already "recognize" the regime before the International Community.
The Legitimate Supreme Court of Justice in exile ruled on December 15, 2021, the existence of the Presidency in Charge and its responsibilities before the country, stating that such Presidency will effectively continue to exist "...until a valid electoral process is held to elect a new Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. ", and that until that happens "the President-in-Charge of the Republic is constitutionally vested and obliged to fulfill as Head of State, Head of Government and Commander in Chief of the National Armed Forces, all the powers provided for in Article 236 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela" (emphasis added) (see points in Spanish Seventh and Eighth of the decision, Case SE-2021-0003, Electoral Chamber of the TSJ Legitimate, report of Dr. Francisco Salgado Rodríguez, dated December 15, 2021, in https://tinyurl.com/2p8sxjpv).
That sentence was based on the Agreements legitimately voted within the legitimate National Assembly of 2015, which those same parties led, and that now intend to dispatch for economic and political interests, to recognize the usurper regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros. This decision was informed to the International Community, especially the Secretariat of the European Union and the U.S. Department of State.
It would be wrong for Gerardo Blyde, on behalf of an ethereal entity called "Plataforma Unitaria", exercising a representation that nobody has given them, to carry out international talks in those countries that promise the delivery of Guaidó's head to Maduro, and thus end with a stroke of a pen the institution of the Presidency-in-Charge, making the sanctions against the regime disappear by magic, because then "there is no longer any conflict" with Maduro.
In addition to all of the above, there is the pending mandate of the Venezuelan people in the Popular Consultation held from December 7 to 12, 2020, which demanded the Cessation of the Usurpation of Nicolás Maduro Moros and the call for free, fair and verifiable presidential and parliamentary elections, and where 97% of 6.4M Venezuelans voted in favor of that. They also intend to ignore that mandate without having any representation of the Venezuelan people. According to that mandate, Maduro must be out of Miraflores in order to proceed with elections.
I recommend an excellent summary of these considerations in a video that summarizes this serious problem of contempt by the opposition political leadership, in the voice of journalist Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in his program "La Entrevista", broadcasted by EVTV (see The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJL) in exile is legitimate and the Interim Government is still in force, Opinion of journalist Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in the program "La Entrevista" of EVTV, in https://youtu.be/bkta9Yatbfk), which is nothing more than a cry of frustration in the face of so much iniquity and political outrage against Venezuelans.
It is not the first time in the history of the world that someone's head has been offered for an iniquity. In times past they literally cut off his head and sent it as fulfillment of a commitment made. It happened in the Bible account with John The Baptist and later with the patron saint of politicians and rulers, Sir Thomas More (1478-1535). Juan Guaidó by not assuming his full status as President and not having respected the constitutional principle of separation of powers, as ordered by the aforementioned sentence, has allowed his political enemies to be consummating that disaffirmation. If they succeed, he will go down in posterity as the next Juan "The Baptist "...
