Until when will Venezuelans continue to follow the rhythm indicated by the Lie dressed as Truth? Until when will the Lie continue to harm Venezuelans to the point of making us fall down the cliff of tragedy, of continuing to tolerate a criminal regime, dressing itself with the clothes of Truth?
As much as some of us get tired of pointing out that the Lie continues to insist on convincing us to go to an electoral process, which some already inform that it will be brought forward to 2023, and prepares and prepares others to go to an opposition primary in Venezuela, Venezuelans still believe in the Lie, which disguised in the clothes of Truth tells the world that it is the representative of Venezuelans and openly negotiates elections with the illegitimate regime of Nicolás Maduro Moros.
Many of us know the beautiful legend which tells of the time when the Lie put on the clothes of Truth, and which I transcribe for you in case you have not read it:
"Legend has it that one day the Truth and the Lie met. Good morning said the Lie. Good morning said the Truth. Beautiful day said the Lie. Then Truth looked out to see if it was true. It was. Beautiful day said the Truth. Even more beautiful is the lake, said the Lie. And Truth looked out at the lake and saw that indeed the Lie was telling the truth and nodded. The Lie ran to the water and said: the water is even more beautiful. Let us swim. The Truth touched the water and it was really beautiful, so she trusted the Lie. They both took off their clothes and swam calmly. A while later Lie came out, dressed herself in the clothes of Truth and left. The Truth, unable to dress in the clothes of the Lie, began to walk around without clothes, and everyone was horrified to see her. Thus it is, that until now, most people prefer to accept the Lie disguised as Truth and not the naked Truth" (Jean-Léon Gérôme, 1896)(1) (emphasis added).
What is the Truth and what is the Lie? The horrible Truth is that there is a regime that has trampled every Human Right registered in the world, and that has bought and silenced whoever opposes it. The horrible Truth is that we have political parties kidnapped by the regime that are organizing primaries to select an accommodating candidate to "measure themselves" in 2024, or whenever the regime decides, so that an illegitimate National Electoral Council, totally controlled by the regime, decides who will be the winner. Doesn't this resemble what happened in 2013 with the opposition candidate of salsa and pots and pans? That Truth walking naked around Venezuela is horrifying, as the legend goes, and we don't like to see it. That is why we prefer to see the outer clothes of Truth dressed by the Lie to deceive ourselves.
We want to ignore it when the Lie, dressed as truth, tells us that it will negotiate electoral conditions with an illegitimate regime and that this will help us to get out of this disgrace. What interests move the Lie, dressed as Truth, to try to convince us that another election is the way out for Venezuela?
But the most serious Lie is that those parties that claim to represent us, actually represent us! Their representation ended at the very moment of the end of the 2015 National Assembly term, in January 2021. However, the parties UNILATERALLY decided that they would continue to represent us because the regime decided on an illegitimate parliamentary election on December 6, 2020. On account of what?
And not content with that, they unconstitutionally decided to extend the 2015 National Assembly beyond its constitutional period, through the Delegated Commission, modifying the functions of that Commission established in the Constitution. But this disguised Lie became the Truth for the whole world, to the point that it even deceived the International Community, which sees it as Truth, when in reality it is a disguised Lie.
The horrible Truth is that Venezuelans lack political representation, and that is why the parties that lied by setting up themselves a non-existent representation, and pretend to manufacture a dress of Truth with a Primary that in reality is born of a clear and verifiable Lie.
The Lie disguised as Truth has convinced Venezuelans that the only option is to go to a Primary to elect a candidate to confront the regime, while the criminals are in power. And we, KNOWING that it is the Lie disguised as Truth, out of desperation, want to believe that it is the Truth. And it is not, it is the Lie disguised as Truth.
A group of Venezuelans aware of this problem have built what I have called a Chain of institutional Legitimacy that we hope Venezuelans will fully understand, as The Truth to undress the Lie and remove the clothes it stole from them in that lake of legend.
The first Truth is that in the year 2017 and as a result of a Popular Consultation held on July 16 of that year, the National Assembly, legitimate and in office at that time, appointed equally legitimate Magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice. The second Truth is that those Magistrates were persecuted and imprisoned by the regime, and most of them constituted abroad, at the headquarters of the Organization of American States, OAS, a Supreme Court of Justice in exile, completely legitimate.This happens because the TSJ of the regime resigned en masse to kneel before Maduro's National Constituent Assembly.
This legitimate TSJ operating from exile, produced a sentence that condemned Nicolás Maduro Moros to 18 years and 3 months in prison, for the crimes of self-corruption and money laundering, ordering the removal from office. That was recognized by the legitimate National Assembly, on August 21, 2018, in an Agreement entitled "AGREEMENT TO RATIFY THE DECISION OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO DECLARE THE ABANDONMENT FROM OFFICE OF NICOLÁS MADURO MOROS, AND ON HIS CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACTS OF CORRUPTION LINKED TO THE ODEBRECHT COMPANY" (see in Spanish Agreement, in https://asambleanacionalvenezuela.org/actos/detalle/acuerdo-de-ratificacion-de-la-decision-de-la-asamblea-nacional-de-declarar-el-abandono-del-cargo-de-nicolas-maduro-moros-y-sobre-su-responsabilidad-penal-por-hechos-de-corrupcion-vinculados-a-la-empre-294).
These truths cannot be ignored or forgotten by the political parties that, dressed up as Truth, pretend to ignore now that they themselves declared the person who leads the regime with which they negotiate, in Abandonment of Office, and convicted as a criminal, as indeed he is.
We have gone to that same legitimate Supreme Court of Justice in exile with an Appeal for Protection to rescue our right to Political Participation, which has been kidnapped by the Lie, this time by two representatives who signed for the Venezuelans a COMPLETELY IRRITUAL AND ILLEGAL Memorandum of Understanding in which they claim to represent us before third parties. It would be wrong for the International Community to endorse the result of this Lie dressed as Truth.
If that legitimate High Court, in attention to our request for Protection, appoints a legitimate electoral entity in exile, to conduct a TRUE electoral process, the institutional Chain of Legitimacy that began in 2017 with the appointment of the legitimate Magistrates for 12 years, by an Assembly legitimately elected by the people in 2015, is maintained.
And if that electoral body appointed by the legitimate TSJ in exile conducts presidential elections, the Chain of Legitimacy would be closed with the election of a President of the Republic that the International Community would have no other choice but to recognize as legitimate. It would not be the parody that the parties of the supposed opposition are trying to set up with the regime, which would produce, on the contrary, another government more illegitimate than the one that gave birth to it.
The Lie cannot continue to govern Venezuelans, nor should they continue to allow it to deceive us; and no matter how horrible the Truth may seem to us, it is the right path for the restitution of our rights and our freedom: "... The Truth will set you free", John: 8:31-38"....
