Surprise! We are in a tyranny

In a move that could well be qualified as an injection of "ubicatex" to the official opposition, the regime is preparing from the illegitimate TSJ to make it clear to Venezuelans and the whole world that they are in charge in Venezuela. According to the front page of the weekly La Razon last weekend, the regime is preparing a "Zarpazo a las primarias" (see in Spanish, Zarpazo a las primarias, TSJ de la dictadura prepara pronunciamiento contra reglamentos de la CNP, La Razón, May 21 to 27, 2023, in  https://larazon.net/).

And it is even natural. All of us who are very clear that in Venezuela there is a tyranny (but not a dictatorship, see President Guaidó, Maduro is simply a tyrant, in https://ticsddhh.blogspot.com/p/president-guaido-maduro-is-simply-tyrant_26.html) We must agree that it would be wrong for a National Primary Commission of the opposition, CNP, to establish rules to be followed inside and outside the country by the population opposed to the regime, in open contradiction with those already established by the tyranny through its electoral system, and pretend that the regime accepts that the candidate that comes out of it will be measured against them, just like that, in a presidential election. What a lack of respect! I even agree with those illegitimate Magistrates!

And I would also add, what a lack of location! Reason why the government is preparing to inject them with a large dose of "ubicatex" and put them in their place. They should additionally force them all in that sentence to make planas, writing daily "we are in a tyranny, we are in a tyranny, we are in a tyranny...", like the punishment teachers used to give to elementary school boys when they did not understand anything or were over the moon when something was explained to them.

The National Primary Commission designated by the parties as "independent" to select an opposition candidate (note that I put the word in quotation marks) has been subjected to serious pressures demanding, precisely that, independence, so that they do not make decisions that imply jeopardizing the identity of the voters, involving the CNE in the selection of the opposition candidate, rejecting the automated system of the regime in favor of a manual election system. This pressure is also citizen pressure.

But, on the other hand, there are also pressures to the Commission from candidates who surprisingly do want the intervention of the NEC. Among these are those who were once presidential candidates and who at the time declared that they "lost cleanly" to the regime. And these are precisely those that the tyranny would prefer as opponents in an "election".

How could this "independent" Commission take a position against the participation of the CNE of the regime if precisely what the parties that appointed it want is to show an "opposing" face before the citizenship, when the real one negotiates with the regime, without showing itself to be a traitor to this supposed independence? Then, surprisingly, the solution is provided by the illegitimate TSJ, forcing the use of the CNE and its fraudulent machines.

And how does it do it? easily! By injecting "ubicatex" to the opponents, forcing them to respect the legal framework of the tyranny, as is well reported by La Razon: "The Supreme Court of Justice, controlled by the Madurist regime, studies the legality of six regulations approved by the National Primary Commission, on the occasion of the internal elections to select the unitary presidential candidate of the opposition, next October 22nd of this year".

And especially the participation of the CNE in the Primaries, the main headache of the CNP, is settled with the following: "Regarding the participation of the CNE in the electoral event of the opposition, the dominant criterion in the high government is that according to the Organic Law of the Electoral Power, in its article 33, second paragraph, the Supreme Electoral Council is the competent body to organize elections in unions, professional guilds and organizations with political purposes, "always respecting the autonomy of such organizations". And that's it, where a tiger snores, there is no donkey with rheumatism.

And the votes of Venezuelans abroad? Thank you very much! As expected from the one who does not want to be counted: "It is expected that he/she will also pronounce against voting abroad, as it has been conceived by the "Regulations for the participation of Venezuelan voters abroad", approved by the National Primary Commission, for being in contradiction with article 124 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes, which states that "only voters who have residence or any other regime that denotes legal permanence outside Venezuela may vote abroad. The National Electoral Council shall determine by means of regulations the procedure to vote abroad". How's that? It is the tyranny that will decide with its illegitimate TSJ the conditions for the millions of Venezuelans who were displaced out of the country precisely because of them to vote. It is like for a Guinness Book of Records.

And to put an icing on the cake, the TSJ of the regime will also decide on the conditions for the registration of the candidates to the primaries: "Finally, the TSJ could also rule authorizing the registration of several presidential pre-candidates, whose registration would be rejected by the CNP according to the provisions of Article 3 of the "Regulation on nominations, substitutions and manifestations of support for candidacies", which states in paragraph 3 that the candidate must "have demonstrated an unequivocal commitment with the struggle for freedom, the rescue of democracy, the respect for human rights, the freedom of political prisoners and the return of exiles", which could be considered discriminatory as well as paragraph seven, referring to the contribution to the expenses of the event". The CNP and the so-called Unitary Platform that appointed it, must already be relieved by that little help from their friends....

What part of "we are in a tyranny" have those who insist on selling us that a candidate that comes out of a Commission appointed by parties that have played the game of the regime over and over again, will not be just another puppet that the tyranny uses in a rigged election to perpetuate itself in power? How long will this insult to the intelligence of Venezuelans last? It is high time to start thinking of another opposition formula for 2024 or before, because it is difficult for Venezuelans to buy this "electoral" solution...
